The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance is a dedicated medical air service which first began operations in Lincolnshire in April 1994.
A Noisy 2007!
Well they did it again, 2007 saw a bigger and better steam weekend at Morton.
More steam engines, over 50 vintage tractors, larger trade stand area, larger arena, more classic cars, spitfire flypast......
The major talking point of the summer, the weather, also affected the Morton show with nearly the whole of the Sunday lost to rain making it hard for the organisers with a sudden re-vamp of the public parking being undertaken.
The Saturday turned out to be a glorious day and the arena saw more use than in the 1st year with parades from the miniature steam, vintage tractors and our veteran cars. A welcome addition to this year's show was two demonstrations by the Spalding and District Dog Agility Society in the arena. A most unusual sight in the arena was a demonstration of a Rolls Royce Meteor engine which proved to be the noisiest exhibit of the weekend.
After the event a cheque for £521.37 was handed over to the events charity, The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, who also raised a further £231 from their own stall at the event.
Despite the awful weather on the Sunday the event organisers have vowed to organise their third event to be held on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd June 2008.
